You need to be experienced at tatting to be able to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is an intermediate level, two shuttle pattern in PDF format. Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only.
There is one file, a 6 page pattern which includes:
- Written instructions in English,
- List of supplies needed,
- Photographs of the finished models
- Diagrams with stitch counts and showing direction of work.
Techniques used include:
- rings and chains
- split rings
- self-closing mock rings
- joins and lock joins
- intertwining chains using celtic shuttles
Materials you will need:
- 2 regular tatting shuttles
- 2 acrylic celtic shuttles, 2.75 inches long x .25 inches wide
- Size 20 crochet thread in 5 colors. Finished doily measures about 5 inches in diameter.
- Small steel crochet hook (for joins)
